Peak Sun Hours

While Perth Metro has an average of 8 daylight hours a day over the year, not all this solar energy is considered Peak Sun Hours. The amount of solar irradiation that is converted into mains power is influenced by a number of factors.

These include:

The angle of the sunís radiation from sun up to sun down during the day
The angle of the sunís radiation on the solar panels throughout the year
The orientation of the solar panels to the Northern Hemisphere
Air quality, such as cloud cover, smoke and airborne dust particles
Shading by trees, hills, powerlines and structures
The ambient air temperature, and temperature of the solar panels
Daily seasonal sunlight hours
Cleanliness of the solar panels
The efficiency and quality of the Solar Panels and the Inverter system
