How much power will my Grid Connected Solar produce?

All approved Grid Connected Solar systems must be designed to collect at least 4 Peak Sun Hours every day from around 10am to 2pm, when the sun is at its highest point in the sky. This is achieved by selecting the appropriate site for the Solar Panels. Grouped together these panels are called the PV Array.

In general, The annual daily average generation of a suitably designed Grid Connected Solar system in Perth is reliably around 4.6 times the PV Array’s capacity. It is not uncommon for systems to exceed this average figure when the environmental factors are favorable, and when advanced equipment is used.

As an example, a 1kW PV Array will deliver an annual daily average of around 4.6kWh (Units) of power to the switchboard.
